Last week was a bit different for those of us who came to school! We had a few kids from Kathy and Lovenda's classroom stay all day with us and a lot of our own kids were home on spring break with their families. This week is it business as usual!
We worked, last week, on letters 28 and 29, numbers Q and R, the decagon shape, the color purple (which was also our sight word) and worked on a fun piece of art work for their binders they will recieve at graduation.
Pastries for Parents will be May 11th at 7:30 to 9:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Please come to the classroom first and let us know that you will be here with your child and if you are unable to attend, your child will get the same tasty pastries in the classroom with me or Mrs. Lovenda.
May 3rd I will be out at noon until the rest of the day and Friday, May 4th I will be out all day. My husband is flying in from Chicago, my in-laws are driving down from New Jersey, we are all moving my oldest son, Bobby into his first apartment in Charlotte and on Saturday, May 5th, Bobby graduates from Western Carolina University! It's going to be a crazy weekend!
This week we are going to do (and hopefully finish) end of year asessments, work on numbers 30 and 31, letters S and T, the heptagon shapen (a polygon with 7 sides) and our Bible verse will be Matthew 8:23 "Peace, Be Still" and the color brown (which will also be our sight word). While I was buying yet more things for Bobby for his apartment, I found a few fun things for the kids at Target for outside play and those window gel clings that they love to play with. Hopefully they will enjoy them this week!
