February 23, 2014

We made it through a whole week of school! Yay! I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weekend filled with sunshine and fresh air! Our family celebrated my daughters 18th birthday on Saturday!

This past week we worked on numbers 49 and 50, letters Mm and Nn, the sight word go and the decagon shape. The decagon is hard to draw and we didn't mind if we drew the correct way or not, as long as we tried! The kids had a blast at our snow day party with pancakes for breakfast, pretending to ice skate, having a snow ball fight, dancing, bowling, playing a game of catch and watching a movie with some hot chocolate and cookies!

The children are enjoying having their rest time in our own room and for those of you who have children who stay for the afternoon, we are staying in our classroom until approximately 4:20--ish and at that time Miss Katie P will be taking them over to the main building into the classroom with Miss Krista.

This week we will be working on letters Oo and Pp, numbers 11 and 12, the sight word "the, the rectangle shape and our bible verse will be Matthew 7:7 "Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you". On Wednesday the 26th we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday with green eggs and ham for lunch and reading Dr. Suess books! We will be finishing up the clay projects for the art show and hopefully will be able to start a new art project.
