Happy Groundhog and Super Bowl Day!  The groundhog saw his shadow, which sadly means 6 more weeks of winter! On the bright side this week is supposed to be a lot warmer, even with the rain that is heading our way.

This week I am bound and determined to get all the stuff wrapped up from the past two weeks so we can move on the following week! I will be starting the passports on China and we will be making snow globes this week, everything else will be pretty much staying the same.

We will be sleeping in our room starting on Monday, February 3rd! By 3:10..ish we will be in the main building in the room we used to sleep in. We will not be taking tubs and if the kids have something important or show and tell things, they will take them over there with them.

Upcoming Events:

February 11th: Due to the varying numbers of children that attend on different days and trying to figure out what will work best, we will be exchanging Valentine's cards on Tuesday, February 11th. If you would like to bring a special treat for the kids that day, that is fine as well, just let me know in advance.

February 11th:   I will be out most of the morning to take my daughter to a doctors appointment in Asheville

February 14th:   Pastries for Parents...when you arrive to drop off your child, grab some food and head to our classroom to eat with your child

February 18th:   SNOW DAY PARTY!! Come dressed in pajamas and ready to pretend to ice skate, have a snow ball fight, play some games and drink hot chocolate and have a cookie while watching a movie! We will be in the Fellowship Hall from 9:00 until after lunch.

February 20th:   I will be out most of the morning for another doctors appointment for my daughter in Asheville.


 Reminders: 

Keep toys at home unless it is your child's leader day. They will not be allowed in the classroom and will have to stay in your child's tub.

Keep germ-x, lotions and chapstick at home or apply them to your child when you get to school. We may only apply chapstick and lotion to your child if we have a signed permission slip with the original container of lotion/chapstick and directions on when to to apply the ointments.

Please leave candy and gum at home. Unless it is a special occasion or holiday party, we don't allow the children to have candy at school and we do not allow the children to have gum at any time.
