We are already half way through March...where does the time go? Before you know it, the children will be graduating and going on to big kid school!

Last week we worked on letters Ss and Tt, numbers 15 and 16, the word "is" and the circle shape.

This week we will be working on letters Uu and Vv, numbers 17 and 18, the word "at" and the rhombus shape. We will also be doing a rain cloud experiment, discussing changing from winter to spring and what changes occur in spring, making t charts, counting by tens and creating some spring art work. I added a slinky to our science center and it's amazing the fun the kids have had playing with it! We tried to have it "walk" down the stairs in the hallway, but it only went down two steps and then they tried to build steps with the blocks but that didn't work out too well either. They are going to work on some new ideas on how to get slinky to "walk" down a ramp or some stairs they build! I also added a more child "proof" view master to the science center, which they have been enjoying as well.

We now have a new student to our class...his name is Jack and he is 4 years old. I know the kids are going to be very sweet at welcoming him to our classroom.

Summer is coming up quickly and we need to get a head count of who will be attending our summer session. Please let me know as soon as possible if your child will be attending school after graduation.

• When it is your child's leader day, please have them bring only one or two things to show. I know they are excited to show their friends all their toys, but we have limited time to talk about their toys and we also have limited space to store they toys before/after show and tell. 

Upcoming Events: 

• St. Patrick's Day party....Monday, March 17th. If you signed up to bring something, please bring it in on Monday morning. 

• Picture Days:  Monday March 17th and Tuesday March 18th

• Annual Art Show:  Monday March 31st and Tuesday, April 1st. 

                                 Location:   In the Narthex and hallways outside the sanctuary upstairs in the main building. (we will have signs showing you where to go)

Art Show Times: 

7:30-9:00

12:30-1:30 and 

3:30 to 5:30

All artwork will be going home with the kids after the show is finished. 

We will have a donation box set up if you would like to contribute that will go to playground enhancements.
