I have truly enjoyed each and every child in our classroom. They are all so special and unique and have wonderful little personalities! Over time we have gotten to know each other and our likes and dislikes. I have heard some funny and interesting stories about their families and their cats and dogs, their toys, where they go on weekends and so much more! :) These kids have worked hard, played hard and have grown into confident and independent children who are ready to take on the big kid world of kindergarten. Not only did we learn our ABC's and 123's, but we also visited far away places, explored the music and food from those places, we did yoga and learned about famous musicians and listened to their music. We also learned about famous artists and created our own masterpieces, we listened to some great stories, learned some sign language, cooked and baked, did fun science experiments and so much more!
It is always a sentimental and bitter sweet time when I say goodbye to another group of children. By the time they get to my classroom, it's the end of the road for preschool and onto bigger things that await. Each year I wonder if I have taught them enough or given them enough experiences or done a good enough job but then I look back and realize how far they have come and I know they are ready for that next step in life.
Thank you for being such an awesome and supportive group of parents! I will miss all of you! Please come back and visit!
Upcoming Events:
GRADUATION!!!! This Friday, May 22nd at 10:00 a/m in the Sanctuary.
You are welcome to come put the cap/gown on your child and take pictures prior to the ceremony. Please be in the classroom by 9:20 if you would like to help with the cap/gown and take pictures! You are welcome to take your child outside for pictures in their cap/gown but please have them back with us by 9:45 so we can get them lined up to head upstairs. If your child would like a picture with a friend, that child's parent must be with them for outside pictures.
Your child will have a "me-book" binder filled with all the artwork we do for each month and it also includes their Monet, Picasso and Jackson Pollack inspired art! Their passport, a cd of pictures and their diploma will also be in the binder. Please make sure you drop by the classroom and pick this up before graduation begins.
Slideshow:
Our K-Prep graduating class slideshow will start at 9:30, however, it will loop again and play twice so if you miss it, it will start all over again at 9:45, which will give all parents in both graduating classes a chance to see all the cute picture of these wonderful kids!
After Graduation:
A reception will follow the ceremony in the Venue area...down the hall from the Sanctuary.
Picnic: For those children who are staying with us the rest of the day, please bring a beach towel, pair of shorts and closed toe/heel shoes for outside play. We will be taking the kids outside for a picnic and will have them change into their tie-dye shirts and shorts. :)
We are getting a head count for lunch on Friday and if you haven't already told me your child's plans on staying or leaving after graduation, please let me know a.s.a.p.!
Friday May 22nd: This is Mrs. Lovenda's last day with us before she begins her summer break! She is a true friend to me and a wonderful person. She makes each day fun and special for me and the kids! She is such a huge help and always wants to know what she can do for me. She truly is a great assistant and I will miss her this summer!

May 26th: We are closed for a teacher workday
