March 19, 2017

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! The sun is starting to shine and the birds are singing...it feels like spring! I hope we don't get anymore snow until next winter!

This past week we finished up our projects for the art show, worked on some stem activities, phonemic awareness, cutting skills, counting and number recognition, ten frames and t charts and we had a birthday party for Erin and our St. Patricks Day party!

This week we will be starting our study on spring/weather. So many new things happen in spring...new baby birds, new flowers and blossoms on trees and the weather gets crazy with thunderstorms and lots of wind and warm days then cold days and rainbows after the storms. We will also continue working on our academics and fine motor skills in preparation for Kindergarten.

Kindergarten Registration days will be starting soon. As soon as we get the notice from the public schools we will pass on this information to you as to what day/time each public school is having their registration.

Our annual dinner/art/music show is this Friday. If you have not bought tickets yet for the dinner they are still available in the office with Mrs. Kathy or Mrs. Kristen. The art show will be held outside the Sanctuary and the basket auction will be at the end of the hallway outside the Venue.

Thank you for all the wonderful donations for our gardening basket and thank you to Elijah's mom for creating our basket out of a garden hose!

I will be out on April 6th and 7th for a parent college weekend at UNC Greensboro.

We will be closed on Friday, April 14th in observance of Good Friday.

Spring Picture Days have been reschedule for April 24 and the 25th. If your child attends Tues/Thurs their pictures will be on Tuesday the 25th. Everyone else will be on Monday, the 24th. If you wish to have sibling pictures taken together (of siblings who do not attend our school) please make an appointment with Mrs. Kathy.

Please check your revised leader calendar for the leaders this week

Have a great week!

Mrs, Wendy
