This week is our Wake Up The Bears party on Tuesday, which just happens to be the first day of spring, and these bears are probably hungry and ready for some food! If you signed up for food, please make sure to have it in the classroom by Tuesday morning.
Wednesday is the last day to bring in craft supplies for our craft basket for the auction on Friday.
Our annual art show will be this Friday night with dinner starting at 4:45. The music portion of the show begins at 7:00. In between dinner and the show, please view all our children's art work which will be displayed in the hallways outside of the Sanctuary and check out the auction which will be located in the Venue at the end of the hallway. A slideshow with pictures of all our children will start playing approximately at 6:30 and start again at 6:45, in case you missed it at 6:30.
Please have your child in our classroom Friday night at 6:30. The kids will come upstairs to the Sanctuary at performance time.
Please have your child wear a black or brown shirt with jeans for our performance of Brown Bear, Brown Bear.
We will be closed on Friday, March 30th in observance of Good Friday
Our Easter Party will be held on Thursday, March 29th. Please bring a bag of the little plastic Easter bags filled with wrapped candy inside for our Easter egg hunt. Your child will also need something to collect their eggs in, such as a Halloween bucket or something you don't mind them taking outside to search for eggs.
If your child does not bring a water bottle to school, for whatever reason, it is not an issue. We have plenty of cups and plenty of water. All they need to do is ask for some water and we will make sure they get a drink. Please don't feel bad if you forget to bring their bottle to school. :)
Just a reminder that toys that are brought from home are not the responsibility of our center. If your child likes to bring a stuffed animal to sleep with or brings toys for show and tell on their leader day, please know we make every effort to make sure they get back in the right cubby. That being said, we have many children who like to take them out of their cubby and play with them and share them with their friends when they think we are not looking and it is very easy to have those toys get misplaced or broken. Please remind your child they need to take care of their toys they bring from home and leave them in their cubby, only taking them out for rest time or show and tell and to make sure they get back in their own cubby.
We are beginning to have an issue at clean up time with children not wanting to clean up the toys they took out to play with. When they go to kindergarten they will be expected to clean up toys and centers they have been playing and working in. Please remind your child they need to put away toys in the center they are playing in including helping to clean up before they leave school each day.
If at any time you have any questions or concerns, please see me at school, call the school and ask for me to call you back during our rest time or email me with your question or concern. If you need to get a hold of me after I leave, please email me. I check my email several times each evening and over the weekend and will be happy to get back to you. You may also leave a note for me on the counter and I will see it when I come in the next day.
