I can't believe this will be the last week of November. It's crazy! Time just keeps rushing on and on!
Last week we where busy getting everything ready for our upcoming Thanksgiving Feast on Monday (it doesn't seem possible!). We worked on letters Ii and Ll, numbers 20 and 21, the sight word big and the octagon shape, had our pajama/movie day and did made elephant toothpaste! Here is a link to the science experiment http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/lab/experiments/elephants-toothpaste I did not use the 6% hydrogen peroxide. I bought mine at Wal-Mart and it's the 3% solution which works great but is not as thick and foamy as the 6%. The kids thought it was a lot of fun! We also "traveled" to Italy and learned some new words,
ate some Italian food, listened to Italian music and learned about the
people, geography and culture of Italy.
This week is a very short week, therefore, I will not be introducing any letters, numbers or shapes. The kids will be excited on Monday for the feast and on Tuesday we will be baking our own mini pumpkin pies!
Important Info:
Our time for the feast is 12:10. Please pick up and sign out your child in our classroom and take them to the Fellowship Hall. If you are returning to work/home, please sign your child back in with either me or Mrs. Lovenda before you leave.
