May 7, 2017

Please keep our school cook, Regina, in your prayers. Her father was tragically killed in a car accident late last week.

It's May and graduation is around the corner! Once again time has flown on by this year! It doesn't seem that long ago that my own children were just little ones and now our 4th child will be graduating from high school. Your children will be graduating on Friday, June 9th in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a/m. If your child does not attend school on Fridays, or your child has already finished school for the summer, or you are going to just bring that that day for graduation, please come to the classroom around 9:15 to help them get on their cap/gown and leave them with Mrs. Susan and I. We will have 20 children getting ready for graduation and we need to have them all ready to go by 9:45. When you are done getting them ready, head upstairs to the Sanctuary where we will have a slideshow playing for you to enjoy! (bring tissues!)

I will be needing a baby picture of your child in the next two weeks. I will scan it and bring it back to school for you to take back home. You may also email it to me if you would like.

This past week the children continued studying birds and on Friday made their own bird nests with Chinese noodles and melted chocolate!

On Monday we welcomed Haydn to our classroom and again, your children have been awesome at welcoming a new child into our classroom!

We will be closed on Monday, May 29th for Memorial Day

I will be off on Thursday, June 8th (but I will be coming in for graduation practice) and will taking off the afternoon on June 9th after graduation. We have family coming in from out of town and we will be preparing for our last child to graduate from high school. :(

Please make sure your child is wearing shoes that are appropriate for playing at school. They must have their toes covered and heels supported by a strap or something to hold the shoes onto their feet. They run and climb and jump and their shoes must be able to protect their feet.

Please make sure if your child is bringing a water bottle you have a label on it each day with their name and current date.
