Good Morning! I hope none of you has washed out to sea! This rain is crazy, however, I would rather have rain than more snow, so I am trying not to complain about the weather forecast for the next 10 days...(rain just about every day...going to be happy about it :)
This Wednesday is our Valentine's Day Party! The kids made Valentine bags to hold all their cards so be looking for them in their cubbies on Wednesday! If you signed up for something to bring and have forgotten what it was, I have the list in the classroom and can check for you on Monday. I am going to make Wednesday pajama day, so don't bother getting the kids dressed that morning, just roll them out of bed and into the car! Mrs. Judy has been looking for the Charlie Brown Valentine movie for us to watch at the party...if you have it in DVD format, we would love to borrow it!
The Art Show is Friday evening, March 23rd. Our classroom is making a crafty basket to auction off that night. Each classroom makes their own basket for the auction. This is a huge fundraiser for our school and last year the baskets were awesome! Please start bringing in anything that is used in being crafty...washi tape, scrapbook supplies, acrylic paints, paint brushes, the little blocks of canvas, scissors, etc. We need to have it all put together in 5 weeks.
Our class will be doing a Brown Bear, Brown Bear play the night of the Art Show. Please have your child wear a black or brown shirt and jeans.
The evening starts with a dinner in the Fellowship Hall..more info will be coming out soon as to times and the cost. The art work from all our classes will be displayed along the windows outside the Sanctuary. The basket auction will be located down at the end of the hallway in the Venue. Bidding will close before the music portion of the evening starts. Each classroom will be performing a song in the Sanctuary. Our kids go last with our Brown Bear play. After all the classes have performed, the winners of the auction will be announced.
This is always a fun night for everyone, so please mark your calendars for March 23rd!
We are thinking ahead for this summer and for our graduation...please let me know via text or at school if your child will be attending school all summer until we close in August for the few teacher work days to get ready for a new group of kids. We need to get a head count of who will be here all summer.
This week we will be working on letter Gg, number 23 and the rectangle shape, fine motor skills, literacy, math and having fun!
