March 18, 2012

What another beautiful weekend! I hope everyone has had a chance to go out and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air!

This past week we learned about clouds, wind and rain! We read lots of books about weather, made it "rain" in a plastic cup and watched a tornado in a soda bottle! Eli shared his 5th birthday with us, we had a great St. Patricks Day party and we were able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine!

It seems spring has decided to come early, so this week we will be talking and reading stories about spring! Our letters will be I and J, our shape is a crescent, the numbers will be 20 and 21, our sight word will be "red" and our Bible verse will be Genesis 1 ...7 Days of Creation.

Spring pictures and cap and gown pictures will be the first week of April. Please check your child's folder this week for information on your childs date for their pictures.

Leader Calendar for the week of March 19th to March 23rd.

Monday:     Logan
Tuesday:      Shane
Wednesday: Sierra
Thursday:     Sawyer
Friday:

As the weather gets warmer, you might want to consider bringing a change of clothes such as shorts and a t-shirt. I would keep the long sleeves and long pants as well, since I know how temperamental the weather is around here, but if we had a really warm day and your child needed a change of clothes, they might be more comfortable in shorts! Also, please remember any sandals must be closed toe and closed heeled.

Have a great week!

Mrs. Wendy
