March 25, 2012

Despite the rain, the weekend turned out pretty good! My younger two kids and I spent Saturday searching for the perfect tie for my oldest son, who is almost 23, for a job interview in Charlotte! He graduates in May from Western Carolina University with a degree in business administration and computer technology. After spending most of the day going from store to store, we finally found the perfect tie! Please keep him in your thoughts as he interviews tomorrow afternoon and drives back home.

This past week our sight word was "red", our letters were I and J, our numbers were 20 and 21 and our Bible verse was "Genesis 1  7 days of Creation. We also practiced tracing zig zag lines, wavy lines and shapes. We painted water color pictures of spring and added thumb print lady bugs as well as made symmetrical butterflies with pink, orange, yellow and purple paint!

This week we will be working on letters K and L, numbers 22 and 23, a semi circle, the color blue (and our sight word will also be blue) and our Bible verse will be 1 Peter "God Cares For You" and Exodus 14:1. We will also be reading stories about animals and will start working on a few Easter crafts.

We will be having an Easter party on Friday, April 6th. A sign-up sheet is located outside of our door.

There was a bit of a problem with the spring pictures dates and as soon as we know when the new dates will be, we will let you know. For our classroom these will be spring picture and cap and gown pictures.   :(

Please make sure your child has a change of clothes for warmer weather!

Please have your child leave their personal toys at home unless it is their leader day. When they bring their own toys from home they may get lost or broken.

Leader Calendar for the week of March 26th to March 30th:

Monday:        Jayden
Tuesday:        Seamus
Wednesday:   Hampton
Thursday:      Rachel
Friday:          Analyn

Brain Quest Question of the Week:   Can you draw a triangle?

I am having trouble getting pics loaded....the ones below are all I could get so far. I will put more up later!

Have a great week!

Mrs. Wendy
