We survived the first week back to school and the kids were wonderful! I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and has been enjoying the sunshine!
Last week we kind of took it easy to get back in the swing of things, but this coming week we are back to "normal". Our letters this week will be Ee and Ff, our numbers will be 41 and 42, our shape will be a heart shape and our sight word of the week will be "see". We are going to make penguins out of water bottles this week...I have enough bottles now, so don't worry about bringing anymore in! For our math this week we will be counting by tens, counting to 100, doing some tangram puzzles, finishing patterns and tracing shapes. For language, the kids will be making letters out of wiki sticks, putting alphabet stones in alphabetical order, working on beginning sounds and rhyming. Our Bible stories this week will be from Luke, Matthew and John. The kids will also be using the playdoh and creating things in the art center, which seems to be a popular center! I start my Creative Activities course at HCC this week...wish me luck!
Upcoming Events:
Snow Day Party...date has yet to be determined, but will be at the end of January. The kids can wear pajamas and we will have a snowball fight, drink hot chocolate and watch a movie.
Leader Day for the week of January 7th to January 12th:
Monday: Bryce
Tuesday: Cameron
Wednesday: Danielle
Thursday: Jayden
Friday: Lauren
Reminders:
Please leave toys at home unless it is your child's leader day. If it is your child's leader day, please leave their show and tell in their tub in the hallway to avoid it being played with and broken before we get to show and tell.
If your child is sick, they need to be fever, vomiting and diarhea free for 24 hours (without medication) before they can return to school.
We cannot give your child medication unless we have a signed permission slip and the medication is in the original container. Medicine can also not be placed in a sippy cup or water bottle and given to your child to drink from throughout the day.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week!
Mrs. Wendy
The pic feature doesn't want to work too well today, so when I get it working, I will upload pics and let you know!
