Welcome to the second week of February! We had a busy day today with starting our Valentines craft and working on our science experiment. The kids picked out a rock they wanted to use for their "love bug" and chose which color paint and wings they wanted for their rock. They made some really cute bugs! We also did a sink/float science experiment. The objects we used were a spoon, rock, foam flower, seashell, stick, pencil and a quarter. We picked up an object and guess whether it would sink or float...the kids were surprised the pencil and the stick floated on top of the water! We also put the quarter (that sank) in the boat (that floated) to see if the quarter would sink the boat...and it didn't! Tomorrow we will continue working on love bugs and hopefully start our Valentine Day card holders!
