Welcome to October! What a beautiful weekend! Clear blue skies, crisp fall air and the leaves are changing colors!
Thank you for your patience with all the papers we have sent home to be signed and returned, I know it was a bit overwhelming!
We are going to have one busy week.....
The firetruck comes to visit on Tuesday, October 4th at 10:00 a/m
Raising A Reader workshops---October 4th..two sessions 4:30 and 5:30
Picture Day...October 6th and 7th. If you have forgotten when your child's picture day will be, we have a list with all the children's names and days posted on the window outside of our classroom door.
This past week we discusssed community helpers, talked about fire safety and dialing 9-1-1. We read the book Chicka Chicka Boom and did a fun alphabet activity afterwards. I will post photos on here that shows the activity.
Coming up this week our Bible focus will be Psalm 16:1 "Protect me, O God, I trust in you for safety". We will be creating a firetruck with rectangles, squares and circles and will start on our fall activities.
Our leaders for the week of October 3 through October 7 will be:
Monday----Aiden
Tuesday----Shane
Wednesday--Caden
Thursday----Zac
Friday------Analyn
On Monday, October 31, at 10:30 a/m, the preschool classrooms will be having a "Trunk or Treat" in the upper parking lot, where the basketball hoop is located. We are asking parents to park their car in the upper parking lot, decorate the trunk of their car and pass out candy to the children. There will be four preschool classrooms attending the trunk or treat (approximately 60 children) and children will be allowed to wear their costumes to school that day. If you are unable to attend, please provide a bag of candy so we can hand out candy to the children. After the trunk or treating, our classroom will be having a party....we are still working on those details and will let you know as soon as we get it all figured out!
Have a great week!
